What is a travel visa?

A travel visa is a document issued by a foreign country government authorities that permits you to enter, stay and perform the approved activity as per your purpose of visit in that country. It is your responsibility to determine whether or not a travel visa is required for your upcoming trip.

Is my passport required to arrange a travel visa before travelling the destination?

For the majority of countries, a travel visa is stamped on, or affixed inside your passport. However, there are a few exceptions. Please see the visa requirements for your specific destination.

Can I apply myself for my travel visa OR I only need to arrange it through FVS?

Yes, you can apply yourself for your travel visa by visiting the concerned consulate/embassy. FVS is just a service provider making your life easy & saving your time of following queues & communicating back and forth with the embassy/consulate and processing visa applications on your behalf and charge the service fee for that.

What is the minimum passport validity required for obtaining a visa?

As per the norms of Embassies/consulates your passport has to be valid for at least 6-months and with at least 2 blank visa pages.

What is the difference between visa validity and maximum stay?

The validity of a given visa represents the dates that the visa is effective and Maximum stay is the time allocated for stay in the country.

Example 1: If a visa to China is valid for 90 days, you must enter China before that period of 90 days expires. In case if maximum stay is 30 days. It means you can stay there upto 30 days only.
